Abstract

The article focuses on the essence of corporate social responsibility and international experience. It discusses  campaigns of Georgian companies that alleviate the difficult economic and/or social situation of the society, and as a result, increase of their prosperity in the conditions of COVID-19. In addition to the above-mentioned campaigns, there are significant challenges in Georgia, facing both the public and organizations. These challenges include product quality problems,  food, children's toys and other. The essence of corporate social responsibility includes several important components, including: protection of human rights, delivering quality and safe products to consumers, care for the environment, participation in the elimination of social problems, and more.

The aim of the research presented in the article is to determine the level of knowledge of corporate social responsibility and awareness of the population in Tbilisi. It is interesting to know what kind of  attitude individuals have towards companies that exhibit corporate social responsibility. The study was conducted using a questionnaire method that included seventeen questions. Data were processed using SPSS statistical software package. In the process of research we developed hypotheses. Based on the analysis of the obtained results, we have formulated recommendations, the implementation of which will help the state to raise the level of awareness of the population and organizations on this issue. At the same time, certain changes at the legislative level will oblige companies to be more responsible to consumers, at the same time it is important for the society itself to become more responsible about this issue and contribute to the improvement of the current situation.
